Using Sage Copilot

Ensure you have set up Sage Copilot

Accessing Sage Copilot

To open, select the Sage Copilot button at the top of the program. In v32.0 and below this is called Copilot insights.

View your insights

You can view your insights in various parts of your program; you can see which parts of your program have insights on the left-hand side menu.

When you open Copilot, you will see the insights for the program module you have opened.

Example Customers insights

  1. Business performance – depending on the amount of data you will get an assessment of business performance.
  2. Debt summary – quick summary of how many sales invoices are overdue and by how much, you can click on ‘Debt management’ to get a more detailed picture.
  3. Report summary: Sales Ledger Turnover – To generate a quick summary and key insights, click Begin analysis.

View enhanced insights and data

Copilot gives you more information about your business performance and suggest actions to fix issues.

There are different features depending in which screen you are in, such as Anomaly Detection in Transactions.

You can use Sage Copilot to optimise your transaction data and help check for processing errors.

Caution – This should not replace the check data function.

Sage Copilot can check for potential issues based on:

  • Nominal codes used that differ from ones you usually use.
  • Tax codes that are different to what you use frequently.
  • Transaction amounts being higher or lower than usual.
  • Higher or lower amounts of VAT on your recent transactions.

These insights can help you spot and correct error before they become problems.

Solution

  1. Click Transactions
  2. Select the Sage Copilot button, In V32.0 and below, this is called Copilot insights.
  3. Select one of the options shown against the 4 checks.
  • Transactions with unexpected nominal codes.
  • Transactions with unexpected tax codes.
  • Transactions with unexpected amounts.
  • Transactions with unexpected VAT amounts.
  1. When you click one of the options above you will see a list of flagged transactions.
  2. Click the Actions drop-down to either:
  • Edit the transaction to make corrections.
  • Mark the transaction as correct.
  • Ignore the transaction.

Note:  Copilot needs at least 3 months of transaction data to perform a check.
